Occupying a spot on the Cambridge City Council for the past three terms, Leland Cheung said he has paid particular attention to enhancing job growth, public transportation, government transparency, and affordable housing. The son of immigrants, he is a graduate of MIT Sloan School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He is also the first Asian American to serve on the Council.
Cheung is an executive committee member of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee and ran unsuccessfully for lieutenant governor in 2014.
