KING LOUIS

Playing for the Omaha Lancers last year, freshman Louis Leblanc scored 28 goals and notched 31 assists in 60 games. The rookie looks to feature prominently in the Crimson attack.

JACK AND JILL

Rookie Jillian Dempsey is realizing a childhood dream by suiting up for the Crimson. A five-year varsity star at the Rivers School in Weston, Mass., Dempsey has wanted to attend Harvard since sixth grade.

RICHTER SCALE

Junior Kyle Richter boasted a .935 save percentage and 2.19 goals-against average in 34 games during his sophomore season for Harvard. Back this season after a year away from Crimson ice and his teammates, Richter will have to fend off junior Ryan Carroll and senior John Riley to keep the starting job in the net.

SUIT UP

The Harvard squad, which held one of the lowest number of goals scored in the ECAC last season, is looking to rookies Louis Leblanc and Alex Fallstrom—both NHL draft picks—as well as team-leading scorer Doug Rogers to generate big offense this season.

ALL FOR ONE

The Crimson women’s hockey team has a new look this season, having graduated its top three scorers. It lost much of the depth it has relied on in the past, and to succeed in a tough conference, the team will have to lean on its veteran defensive leadership, rising offensive stars, and seven rookies who will be immediate factors.
