At Penn, a Wharton professor just conducted a study about weather conditions and college matriculation, drawing the conclusion that visiting a college campus on a cloudy day may actually increase a student’s desire to go to that school. According to The Daily Pennsylvanian, after having studied the effects of weather on a pool of 1,284 students as they visited an unnamed college, the professor was apparently expecting the opposite results. While we’re all for academic exploration, we at FlyBy would like a judge’s ruling on this study by seeing whether it actually holds with any of the remaining 6-plus billion people on the planet.

Who ever said that the fashion industry can’t be academic? Just this week, Vogue Magazine seems to have been dispatching its highest-ranking editors to make the rounds to various Ivy League schools, giving talks on topics from aesthetic inspiration to eating disorders.

After all the wonderful videos Yale made for us this year, will there ever be a DVD box set to archive these cinematic treasures for posterity? While we would certainly be willing to shell out whatever amount for such a timeless collection, we would hereby like to suggest yet another chapter to the saga, another item for inclusion in the series.

Oh, Yale. We love how artsy you are—frankly, it’s downright endearing. According to The New York Times, this new program will introduce students to “projection engineering, image-creation software and motion graphics,” all for the sake of transforming them into “well-rounded theater professionals.”
