To the editors:
On behalf of the entire Bryn Mawr class of 1968, I congratulate our friend and classmate, Drew G. Faust, on her appointment as Harvard’s president.
We who have had the good luck to have enjoyed Drew’s friendship and admired her for many years are deeply pleased at this recognition of her academic and collegial skills and accomplishments, both because she deserves the position and because her attaining it demonstrates what women can achieve.
At Bryn Mawr, we were told to go out into the world, work hard, and make it a better place. Drew is doing just that.
Drew, we are proud of you.
