One good award deserves another.
Three days after being named to the New England Challenge All-Tournament team, sophomore middle hitter Suzie Trimble was awarded Ivy League Player of the Week honors.
Trimble, hitting .416 on the weekend, led Harvard to the championship with 43 kills and only six errors. Finishing the tournament with 12 blocks, she also had six aces in the Crimson’s three-game sweep of Holy Cross.
After Saturday’s matches, Trimble leads Harvard with 3.31 kills per game and 0.92 blocks per game. In addition, she is the only Ivy player to be ranked in the league’s top five in both kills per game and hitting percentage.
