It will be nice to have the Patriots stay in Boston, but while Pats owner Robert K. Kraft may have made the right decision, the state made the wrong one. Kraft has agreed to pay for a part of his new stadium--heaven forbid--but the state is still footing too much of the bill.
The Commonwealth originally refused to meet Kraft's demands, prompting him to make the deal with Connecticut. But now it is apparent this move was merely a ploy to up the pressure on Massachusetts.
By caving in to this pressure, Massachusetts has rewarded an opportunistic brat who has played states against each other. The people of Connecticut are better off without Kraft and his Patriots.
