To the editors:

We applaud The Crimson's recognition that the impeachment hearings are the grind of a political machine rather than a fair or rational search for justice (Editorial, Dec. 14). By rejecting censure in favor of pushing for full impeachment the House Republicans have shown blatant disregard for the health of this nation and the will of the people. Polls show that 66 percent of Americans approve of the job that Clinton is doing. That is a much greater figure than Congress' 44 percent approval rating.

Yet the impeachment hearings carry on. If we are interested in saving our President, if we want political stability, if we want Congress to produce anything other than political rhetoric before the next century, we must send a clear message to our representatives. Please join us at the Anti-Impeachment Rally in Science Center C, today at 7 p.m. Make your voice heard. ERIN B. ASHWELL The writer is treasurer of the Harvard-Radcliffe College Democrats.
