The Harvard equestrian team had a successful outing this past weekend at Colby Sawyer College.
Sporting the smallest team at the show, the Harvard riders tied for third place with Tufts. Harvard indeed held its own against top-notch competition such as Mt. Ida, Dartmouth, Boston University, Bates, University of Vermont, MIT and Endicott.
Sophomore Laura Winthrop was the top Harvard rider with a first and a second place finish. Following closely was fellow sophomore Jaylaan Ahmad-Llewelyn who nabbed a second-place ribbon of her own.
Senior Langden Fielding and junior Sia Shin also had fine performances. Fielding collected both a sixth and fourth-place ribbons while Shin added a fourth-place finish.
Rounding out the competition was freshman Kerla Moore who also grabbed a sixth-place ribbon.
The equestrian team will be in action once again this weekend as it will venture up to Maine and New Hampshire for shows on Saturday and Sunday.
