Police Log of Recent Incidents

The following incidents were reported in the Cambridge Police Department blotter in the last week.

Sept. 24, 1997

An employee of a business selling icecream on Mass. Ave. reported that an unknown man called and asked for a particular flavor of ice cream. The victim stated that he did not have it.

According to the clerk, the suspect asked to speak with the boss and later threatened to "come in and kill everybody." Police are investigating the harassing calls.

Sept. 25, 1997

The Cambridge Police Department reported receiving a fax from a resident of Fukuoka, Japan stating that items were stolen from him while he was visiting Harvard Square on Sept. 15.

Sept. 26, 1997

A Somerville resident was arrested for shoplifting at the Harvard Coop.

Sept. 27, 1997

An Oxford Street resident reported that at 3:50 a.m. a woman who she knew punched her and threw her to the ground on Oxford Street.

An employee of Stuff It Inc. on Eliot Street reported that between 11 p.m. on Sept. 26 and 7:45 a.m. on Sept. 27 an unknown person forced open a locked gate and locked door, entered through a window using a ladder, and stole money from a cash box.

Sept. 28, 1997

A man was arrested at 113 Harvard St. for a domestic assault involving a knife.
