Although the Harvard men's lacrosse team fell 23-12 to Virginia last weekend, the Crimson nevertheless enjoyed a sensational season, advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament.

Harvard, which posted an 11-2 regular season record, upset sixth-seed Hofstra to advance second round of the post-season.

Junior goalie Rob Lyng, pictured above, recorded 21 saves in the loss.

Despite the lopsided score, the Crimson earned respect for itself.

"[Harvard coach Scott Anderson] has done a wonderful job with the team," said Viriginia coach Dom Starsia said following the game. "They had a terrific season."

They most certainly did.
