The top stayed the same, but nearly everything else changed in the Undergraduate Council elections on Sunday.
Carey W. Gabay '94 was re-elected to a second term as president. And in a hotly contested race for the vice presidency, Joshua D. Liston '95, former chair of the campus life committee, was elected by a majority on the first ballot.
"We need to reorganize the office so that it becomes a place of interaction between students and U.C. members," Liston said. "I want it to be a place where they can see their U.C. representatives and address concerns."
With his victory, Liston is well-positioned to run for the presidency in the fall, when Gabay will have graduated.
In other races, Jamila A. Braswell '95 was elected treasurer. The contest for secretary has been delayed until tomorrow.
