Worker Falls At Holyoke Center Area

By Margaret C. Boyer

Seven emergency vehicles arrived at Holyoke Center last night after a worker fell off the construction site at about 8 p.m. last night.

A firefighter at the scene said an initial report had incorrectly indicated the man fell in an asbestos removal area.

The man was conscious when taken to Cambridge City Hospital, the firefighter said.

The accident was hidden from onlookers in the Square since all construction is taking place inside the outer walls of Holyoke Center.

The worker underwent examinations at the hospital last night. Hospital officials would not comment on his condition.
