Blood and Gore have once again returned to Harvard.
On the day Vice President Al Gore '69 visited the Kennedy School, the student-run Red Cross Blood Drive launched its second donor campaign of the year.
"Between free T-shirts and altruism, we manage to get everybody," said organizer Zachary D. Drench '94.
More than 110 students donated blood yesterday in the first of a three-day drive expected to see approximately 750 students.
Harvard students supply over one percent of the blood donated in New England, winning Harvard organizers the best regional university blood drive award from the Red Cross, Drench said.
"It's especially important to give now," added Drench.
"There are more accidents (during the holiday season)..and fewer people donating," he said.
