Aquawomen Roll Over Brown, 16-6

By Alvar J. Mattei

The Harvard women's water polo team is so far wearing its Top 10 national ranking very well. Last night, the Crimson took its show to Providence, R.I., and promptly dumped Brown, 16-6.

The Crimson (2-0) was paced on offense by Stacey Moran, who scored seven first-period goals. Moran, a junior, had sat out last year due to injury, but last night showed that she was back with a vengeance.

"It took her a while to get back," said Tri-Captain Leslie Barbi.

"She was just doing really well," said Tri-Captain Lynley Ogilvie.

On defense, Harvard allowed only 16 Bruin shots on netminders Amy Sandler and Tamsyn Seimon. "We really shut down their offense," Barbi said. "In the fourth period, I was fronting their hole man, and they couldn't get the ball inside."

Brown was frustrated in getting the ball inside all night.
