The Harvard men's swimming team trounced Brown, 69-26, in Providence, R.I., to lift its Ivy League record to 4-2. The rout was as pleasant as it was unexpected, leading the aquamen to seriously contemplate an Eastern Seaboard Championship.
The though of greatness was reinforced a week later when the Crimson blew away Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y.
Things turned sour after that, however, as the Crimson lost to Princeton and then eventual Eastern champ Yale to finish the season with a 5-3 mark.
