The Harvard women's volleyball team lost a pair of matches Saturday to Holy Cross and Boston College.

Both teams swept the inexperienced Crimson in three games. The Crusaders played an extremely steady game that forced the spikers--who have no starters returning from last year and no seniors--to make mistakes.

B.C., on the other hand, utilized a big hitting attack to take advantage of the smaller Crimson, which has to rely on its setting and defense, rather than hitting for its success.

Sophomore Suzie Tapson led the way for Harvard, providing excellent outside hitting. Reserve freshman Nancy Prior came through with clutch serving.
