At last there is a barometer or a school's social life. It's bad if police and paramilitary troops have to guard male students from female student retaliation.
This occurred recently at India's St. Stephen's college Male students had staged a panty raid by prying open lockers in a women's bathroom. They displayed their trophies by hanging the underwear from a crucifix on a school tower.
The raiders left a note which read, "Jack the Robber Strikes."
Female students boycotted classes he next morning and complained they were fed up with these pranks which their male counterparts have been doing for the past six years.
The event drew national attention. Headlines in India's newspapers reported the incident: "It's Like Martial Law at St. Stephen's," and "Stephen's Sex War Turns Ugly."
