The Harvard cycling team unexpectedly placed third overall in the Yale Road Race held Saturday in New Haven.

"Last year we were lucky to have people finish the race. This year we have one of the strongest women's teams in the East," said Sarah Tracey, president of the co-ed cycling club.

The Crimson squad, with 475 points, came within one point of capturing second place from University of New Hampshire. The State University of New York at Stoney brook dominated every race division and won by nearly 500 points.
