Harvard fullback Robert Santiago was named yesterday to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) weekly Honor Roll as a result of his play in Saturday's 35-21 season-opening victory over Columbia.
A fullback turned wingback turned fullback again, Santiago picked up 204 yards on 24 carries, which was good enough for second place on Harvard's all-time single game rushing list.
His yardage gained was also the most by any Division I running back in the country Saturday.
Meanwhile, Harvard's 335 yards rushing was the most by a Crimson team since 1970, when that squad picked up 387 yards in a 39-9 victory over Rutgers.
