To the Editors of The Crimson:

I'm grateful for The Crimson's story about the American Repertory Theatre's 1984-5 season [Friday, October 26], but I must deny ever having made the statement attributed to me regarding how all of our productions go to Broadway or off-Broadway. It's inaccurate, first of all, and secondly it suggests a policy directly contrary to our philosophy and practice. Robert Brustein   ART Artistic Director

The Crimson stands by its reporting of the story.
