Harvard senior tailback Mark Vignali, who rushed for more than 170 yards for the second week in a row Saturday, had been named the Co-Ivy Player of the Week.
The Uniontown, Pa. native shared the honor with University of Pennsylvania quarterback John McGeehan, who threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns in the Quakers' 34-21 victory over Yale Saturday.
On the strength of his 33-carry, 171 yard performance, Vignali led the Crimson to a 17-15 triumph over Princeton.
The outburst came just one week after Vignali scored its first victory over Dartmouth in six years by rushing for 175 yards, the fifth most ever gained in one game by a Crimson runner.
In five games, the Harvard runner has rushed for 577 yards on 119 carries and two touchdowns. He needs just 79 yards to crack the Crimson's Top Ten single-season rushing list.
