NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

An Allston resident escaped serious injury when his bicycle collided with a car at the intersection of Linden and Bow streets yesterday afternoon.

Mike Gordon of Chester Street Allston, struck the windshield of the car after the driver allegedly drove through a stop sign, according to Cambridge Police.

The windshield of the car, driven by allegedly Naotaka, was shattered and caved in at the driver's sent by the impact of the collision at about 2:40 p.m. Gordon, who got up after the initial shock, was taken to the Cambridge city hospital, where only minor injuries were reported.

Two Cambridge Police officers at the scene said the accident could have occurred because of Gordon's neglect of the stop sign. But because of the contradictory statements of several witnesses, the case will be referred to court to determine which party was at fault, police said. No citation or ticket was issued.
