An undergraduate last week filed a civil suit for damages against an associate professor who allegedly punched him in the mouth.

David L. Parker '85 made his formal complaint in Middlesex Supreme Court against Robert C. Repetto, associate professor of Economics and Population, to recover damages charging Repetto struck him.

Parker already had filed criminal charges in early June against Repetto for assault and battery. The criminal trial is scheduled to begin August.

Repetto is currently out of the country and could not be reached for comment about the civil suit.
