New York University (NYU) officials earlier this month announced the beginning of the most ambitious fund-raising drive in the University's history, and said they aim to raise one million dollars every week for the next two years.
Speaking before a packed room of deans, trustees and administrators. President John Brademas said it was the "most ambitious effort in the history of the University," and announced that $34 million of the targeted $100 million has already been raised.
The primary focus of the campaign will be the improvement of the arts and sciences, an area that Brademas called the university's "heart and soul."
