The New Jersey Devils traded Merlin Malinowski and the rights to Harvard sophomore center Scott Fusco to the Hartford Whalers for Rich Meagher and Garry Howatt.

YESTERDAY'S RESULTS

After a hectic week against Cornell and the Greater Boston schools, the Harvard men's cross country team fell to Dartmouth yesterday, 38-17.

Paul McNulty finished first for Harvard in 30:15 but could not push past Dartmouth's three frontrunners. Jim Sapienza won for the Big Green in 29:02 on the 5.8-mile, hilly Hanover course. Felix Rippey, Eric Schuler, Paul Gompers and Paul Kent finished 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th to round out the Crimson top five.
