To the Editors of The Crimson:
I'd like to point out a small error in your February 7 article on Harvard's meal plan. It is stated that students must pay $1850 for a full meal plan in order to gain on-campus housing. The Jordan coops are on-campus housing, but we run our own kitchen, pay no board charges to Harvard, and each of us at Jordan K spends only $500-$600 a year for home-cooked meals, fresh food, and ample supplies on hand of everything necessary. Housing costs the same as in a dorm, but the sense that we have a home and a family, and to a great extent run our own lives, is quite free. Jon Sobel '84
