The Corporation next Monday will begin discussing Harvard's policy towards investments in companies doing business in South Africa, which has come under sharp fire during the past several years, a corporation member said yesterday.
Hugh Calkins'45, chairman of the Corporation committee that decides how the University votes on shareholder resolutions, said yesterday that he will present the results of several investigations into possible changes in Harvard's current South African investment policy.
Calkins refused to comment on the committee's findings or to speculate on what action the Corporation might take.
