Hanna M. Hastings, Co-Master of North House, has been appointed Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the School of Public Health (SPH). She is already familiar with her new job, having worked closely with her predecessor Dean Marlene MacLeish, who resigned last summer for personal reasons.

Hastings will hold the position until June, when a permanent replacement for MacLeish will be named.

In her new role, Hastings will be partly responsible for developing policies affecting student life at SPH. She will also take part in minority recruiting for the school, organizing registration and over-seeing commencement.

Previously, as Coordinator of Career Services at SPH, Hastings counseled students, about career decisions and put out a bi-weekly bulletin listing job opportunites and offered career-oriented advice.
