The Band Strikes Back

'Pride'

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

To the Editors of The Crimson:

This is in response to Jack Barnaby's open letter to the Harvard Band, which was printed in The Crimson on January 5. The members of the Harvard Band spend untold hours conscientiously supporting Harvard athletics. This year the Band will play at over 40 different athletic events, faithfully attempting to draw support and spirit for Harvard's athletic teams. Admittedly some of the Band's performances do not run as smoothly as planned. However, Band members do take pride in their organization. The Band will continue to do all it can to be a positive force in Harvard athletics and in the Harvard community. Christopher T. Clark '84   Manager, Harvard University Band
