WASHINGTON, D.C.--The Faculty Senate at the University of the District of Columbia has sued to prevent the appointment of Benjamin H. Alexander to be the university's new president.
In a suit filed last week in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, the faculty group says the procedure by which trustees chose Alexander was "arbitrary, capricious, and unlawful." The Chronicle of Higher Education reported recently.
