Poor Taste

To the Editors of The Crimson:

The political cartoon which appeared in your October 16 issue was in extremely poor taste. Depicting the President of the United States urinating on a member of the unemployed is not a classy way of taking "pot shots" at our nation's current economic problems.

For a paper that prides itself in being the nation's best collegiate daily. The Crimson has stooped very low to get it few cheap laughs. David Gessner should be embarrassed that his creative abilities are so painfully limited.

Political cartoons are the right of all papers, but when the intent to satire becomes vulgar, the line should be drawn and intelligent discretion should be employed. Joe Carrabino '84
