Quincy House Unveils Portrait of Dunn

Students, tutors and faculty members gathered yesterday in the Quincy House dining hall to unveil a photographic portrait of Master Charles W. Dunn.

The portrait, the second of two gifts to the House commemorating its 21st anniversary and the completion of Dunn's 15th year as master, will hand in the Senior Common Room.

Artist Marie Cosindas, who took the Polaroid colar photograph, formally presented the portrait to the House. A copy of the photo is on exhibit at the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Stephen Urice, executive assistant to Dunn and a resident tutor in Fine Arts, praised Cosindas as the "best in the country" in her field before the presentation ceremony.

The portrait and a metal sculpture presented to the House last fall in honor of Dunn were paid for by donations from students, House affiliates and alumni.

Dunn will retire as master of Quincy House at the end of this year. David A. Aloian '49, executive director of the Associated Harvard Alumni, will replace him.
