PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Helene Gittleman, a former Brown University graduate student, has filed suit against the university, alleging that negligent security there resulted in a sexual assualt on her in a campus classroom two years ago.
Gittleman is seeking $1 million in damages both from the university and from Stanley Barboza, the man charged with the assault.
Brown denied that it was negligent in providing security.
