La O--the organization of Puerto Rican Students--passed a resolution calling for the total divestiture of Harvard's holdings in South Africa in a meeting Tuesday night.

"I don't feel that students can morally support any other stand" Analisa N. Torres '81, a member of La O's steering committee who chaired Tuesday night's meeting said yesterday. La O's demand for total divestiture is a moral, not a tactical position, Torres added.

Only two of the approximately 15 members at the meeting voted against the resolution, favoring instead proposals for targeted divestiture, Andres Corrada '81, a member of La O said yesterday. The group did not consider any other alternatives, Corrada added.

"La O's resolution will have no effect either way on SASC's decision about whether it will demand total or targeted divestiture" Mathew M. E. Rothchild '80 said yesterday.
