"We must keep up the morale of the people on the inside" by supporting the families of South African political prisoners, Reverend L. John Collins, president of the International Defense Fund and Aid Fund for South Africa, said yesterday.
"We must insure that these families are cared for," he added.
Speaking to participants in Harvard's African Seminar, Collins, who is Canon of St. Paul's Church in London, said that various African liberation organizations, which he declined to name, approve and direct the flow of money from the fund to South Africa.
Collins discussed the deteriorating racial and human rights situation in South Africa, and its eminent threat to world peace.
Explaining the primary role of concerned "outsiders," Collins said, "We must be sure to keep the world constantly alert to the facts. We need correct information to pass on throughout the world."
