Dave Cowens, one of those rare people who walks out on a $280,000 job, decided to reconsider the move yesterday and rejoin the struggling Boston Celtics.
"I left for personal reasons and I'm coming back for personal reasons," stated the 28-year old center who led the Celtics to the NBA championship last season.
"I'll be back in uniform at practice tomorrow," he said. "My enthusiasm has returned and I'm anxious to get started playing again."
The Celtics have battled to a 15-14 record during the two-month absence of the 6-ft. 9-in. all-star center.
