Holcombe

By Margaret Y. Han

Sherman Holcombe, former shop steward of the Radcliffe dining halls, is back to work after a month's leave following his suspension in February. He's no longer a shop steward, but a worker in the Freshman Union. And he's happy, he said yesterday.

"I'm just a worker now," Holcombe said yesterday while spooning down beef stew during his break. "Being a shop steward is a thankless job and I'll never do it again," he said.

Holcombe was suspended in February following a dispute with Richard Montville, assistant manager of the Radcliffe dining halls.
