Dean Whitlock Thursday extended the deadline for submitting applications for four Harvard prize competitions from April 1 to April 15 to facilitate entries from women contestants.

Because of a Harvard Corporation vote in early February, 13 undergraduate prizes and the Knox and Tower Fellowships for European Study are now open to Radcliffe students.

Four of the 13 prizes--the William Harris Arnold and Gertrude Weld Arnold Prize, the Jeremy Belknap Prize, the Roger Conant Hatch Prizes and the Francis Sales Prize--became available to Radcliffe undergraduates late in the application process this term.
