The use of House staffs instead of household staffs was inadvertent.
The quotations from Dean Whitlock--as the dean has himself acknowledged--on the use of House funds were accurate as quoted in the February 9 story.
The dean stated what he thought was University policy on Sunday. On Monday the assistant dean supplied The Crimson with an undated, unsigned memo outlining the use of the entertainment allowance. That memo's account differs somewhat from the dean's earlier statements, and is reprinted.
