Radcliffe sophomore Sally Roberts advanced to the quarterfinals in the New England Women's Tennis Tournament before being eliminated last weekend.

Roberts won four rounds before she was defeated by Janina Sadoff of Williams, 7-5, 6-3. The two played for two hours before Sadoff, who has defeated Roberts in tournaments before, took the match.
