Senator Edward M. Kennedy '54 has "made good" his promise to help the Harvard Political Review in its ambitious drive for $70,000 in donations, 20,000 subscribers and a national reputation, according to Kennedy's top aide in Washington.

Edward T. Martin said this week that Kennedy has already given "a money gift and other help," but refused to specify how much money or what kind of help. Kennedy-- after huddling with the undergraduate editors of the journal on February 11-promised a "large" donation and help with contacts and fund-raising lists.

Mark Saylor '76 and other editors of the review would not comment this week on Kennedy's aid. "The senator was miffed when he heard that his contribution was publicized in The Crimson," one of the students close to the fund-raising drive said.
