The freshman lacrosse squad started the afternoon strong yesterday and improved as the day wore on drubbing the Williams J.V. 18-4. The win boosts the yardlings' record to 7-3.

Bill Lewis paced the attack, seemingly scoring every time the ball got near his stick. Lewis wound up with an amazing nine point output, seven of which were goals.

Steve Martin and Bob Mellen also had the hot stick, blitzing the hapless Williams defense for four and three tallies respectively.

The freshman tennis team traveled north to Dartmouth yesterday and lost a close match 5-4. The yardlings split in the singles matches with number one man captain Art Sherer out-stroking his opponent, number two man Carl Bostic winning in three sets and six man Bill Nolen also coming up with a victory.

It was in the doubles ranks that Harvard lost the contest, as Sherer and Bostic were the sole tandem to win. The freshmen end their season posting a 6-4 slate.
