Harvey Friedman will be starting pitcher for the Yardling baseball team today when it plays Phillips Academy away. Yesterday, the Freshman "B" nine walloped Newton Junior College 18 to 0, behind the one-hit pitching of Bill Branon. Catcher Dave Fairburn and Branon each got three hits.

The Yardling lacrosse squard will attempt to shake a three-game losing streak this afternoon when it plays a strong Tufts freshman team at 3 p.m. on the Business School field. M.I.T. defeated the Jumbos a week ago, 11 to 5, while the Crimson barely managed to eke out a 7-6 win over Tech in its season opener.
