To the Editors of The Crimson:

I found the article (Oct. 15) on presidential museums by Martha S. Lawrence very important but lacking in more specific information. I think everyone concerned with the future of the Cambridge community should know (1) whether the library/museum will or will not be built in Cambridge and what stage the negotiations are at; (2) what citizens can do to prevent the building of the library/museum and the onslaught of tourism it will bring. Political and monetary power can commit quiet outrages unless the public is informed and can act to defend its own interests. S.M. Smith
