Yardling Stickmen Whip UMass, 16-6

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Crimson frosh lacrossemen yesterday coasted to a 16-6 victory over UMass for their second victory against no defeats.

In a game marked by the domination and scoring output of the Harvard attackmen, the ten jumped to a 3-0 lead, then maintained an 11-3 half time advantage.

For Harvard, attackman Kevin McCall tallied four times and assisted twice to lead the squad. Attackmen Rick Sondik, with three points, Bill Tennis, with two, and Daly Kennedy and John Harnes with one, paced the Harvard offense.

Long Island Product

Midfielders Bruce Bruckman and Carl Booker both scored twice, and Long Island product Andy Gellis and Greg Jackmauh tallied once.

Defensive standouts were Mike Belmont and goalie Bruce Poliquin.

"UMass was weaker than we expected," Gellis said last night. The Crimson takes on Governor Dummer Saturday in its third game of the season.
