Singer Elvis Presley used a karate-like blow to send an interloper crashing from the stage after the man swung at him during a show on Monday at a Las Vegas hotel, a hotel spokesman said yesterday.

Four men mounted the stage, and the crowd of 1750 persons gave Presley a standing ovation as he knocked one man off the stage. A member of his band tackled another man, and the other two retreated. Presley did not press charges.
