To the Editors of the Crimson:

The kind and sympathetic article on the death of Professor Merie Fainsod which appeared in the Crimson of February 12 was, I am sure, appreciated by all his friends.

I was amazed to learn in it, however, that I delivered the lecture in Gov. 115 after Professor Fainsod's death. I did not; I would not be competent to give such a lecture; indeed, the course is not even being given this term.
