The new writer of the Philadelphia Blazers admitted yesterday that there is a possibility that the World Hockey Association franchise will trade former Boston Bruins star Derek Sanderson.
Blazers' owner Bernard Brown, who deals that Sanderson isn't worth the $2.6 million the club used to lure him emphasized. "It's just talk, and there's a long way between talk and trade."
Sanderson has been little action with the Blazers this year due to a back injures. In addition, he hasn't drawn the crowds of fans that the Blazers expected.
John McKenzie who jumped to the WHA with Sanderson before this season said that he had heard nothing of any effort to trade Sanderson.
