To the Editors of The Crimson:

Your story (Crimson, Wed. 15 Nov.) about the elevation of a woman to the Society of Fellow was very interesting-not so much because of the event, but more because of the way in which the report brought out the tentative, limited and 'safe' nature of the change, i.e., how little it has altered anything about this peculiar body.

I would like to see The Crimson penetrate the news in this way more often. Too often this year it has been taking the official line at face value.

Keep it up! Paul Ryan   T.F. in Economics
