The Radcliffe field hockey team will battle squads from colleges all over the Northeast this weekend at Yale in the first Northeastern Field Hockey Association Tournament.
The Crimson will put their 2-0 record on the line at 9:00 Saturday morning when they clash sticks with Southern Connecticut State College. At 12:30 p.m., the team will fight the Connecticut College varsity. Radcliffe's final contest is scheduled for 10:20 Sunday morning against the University of Rhode Island.
All-Stars
The aim of the tournament is to pick two field hockey teams consisting of the best players from all the teams, Mary G. Paget, coordinator of the Radcliffe Department of Sports, Dance, and Recreation, said Wednesday. The two groups will be chosen late Sunday and will play each other in East Northfield, Massachusetts, on November 11.
No Radcliffe women will be chosen for the two teams because the team has a game scheduled against Princeton the weekend of the East Northfield game, Paget said.
